Overpass of Xuong Giang street inaugurated

(BGO) – The Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee on July 30 held a ceremony to inaugurate the overpass of Xuong Giang street linking Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Tran Quang Khai streets. The event was attended by Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Bac Giang provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Van Hai and leaders of the provincial departments, sectors and municipal authority. 

The Management Board for Investment and Construction Project No.2 in Bac Giang city acted as the project owner while Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited played the role of the construction contractor.

The project was totally invested 175 billion VND (7.55 million USD) from the budget of Bac Giang city. It is designed as the reinforced prestressed concrete bridge with 8 spans, total length of 274.2 m, surface of 11m, two frontage routes of 350m (150m in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street and 200m in Tran Quang Khai street), the frontage section of 8m.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thao said: “During implementation, the activeness and tension in preparation, investment, survey, design and construction resulted in the project to be completed after 6 months of construction since the date of commencement. It is completed 18 months ahead of the schedule”.

It is a key project of the city and one of 7 projects to welcome the Party Congress of all level in the tenure 2020 – 2025. The overpass is put in operation to connect to Ben Huong bridge and Tran Hung Dao street, helping complete the belt route of Bac Giang city in particular and province in general.

At the same day, the Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee inaugurated Dong Thanh Primary School (second facility) at Xuong Giang ward.

After over 1 year of active construction, the project is completed on schedule and put in use. Its total investment hit 44.9 billion VND (1.9 million USD) from the municipal budget.

The project totally covers 6,300 square meters with main items of classrooms, administrative office, multifunctional building, canteen, kitchen and utilities. The school of new architecture is equipped with modern and synchronous classrooms and multifunctional room for the teaching, studying and extracurricular activities.

Viet Yen builds overpass and expand national road No.1’s frontage
