This was the first year the provincial Business Association has been assigned by the provincial People’s Committee to carry out survey and evaluate DDCI. This was also the first time the evaluation conducted online via the integrated software on the province’s DDCI portal.

3,000 enterprises, cooperatives and household businesses in the entire province participated in the survey to evaluate the quality of economic governance, dealing with administrative procedures and performance of the 14 departments and authorities, 10 districts and city. 1,330 out of 3,000 survey sheets were returned.

According to the evaluation, the average score of the departments and sectors in 2022 was 57.11 points, up 0.74 points year on year. The Department of Planning and Investment gained the highest score with 80.94 points, up 11.6 points followed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with 79.68 points, up 35 points and the Department of Construction with 78.94 points, up 40.41 points.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong highly appreciated the departments, authorities and localities with high scores. Besides, he stressed, evaluation of DDCI is one of the contents to realize the Resolution of the provincial Party Committee and Plan of the provincial People’s Committee in improving the province’s investment and business climate.

He urged the agencies and units to continue effectively implementing the tasks and solutions on improvement of the investment and business climate as set out at the province’s resolutions and plans. The province was targeted to be listed in top 15 provinces and cities in provincial competitiveness index. The average DDCI score evaluated by enterprises is expected to increase year on year.

In addition, he requested the departments, authorities and localities to boost the emulative movement at their agencies and units in improvement of the investment and business climate to enhance DDCI. Besides, it is necessary to praise and award public officials who are dedicated and have many initiatives and solutions to improve the investment and business climate and competitive capacity of the agencies and units.

The provincial Business Association and business organizations in the districts and city need to promote the role to link the state management agencies with business community in the province. They also need to revise all opinions, recommendations, difficulties and obstacles of the enterprises to submit to the competent agencies for handling.
