Police of eight provinces compete in the 5th Public Security Forces' Regulations, Shooting and Martial Arts Competition
In his opening remarks, Colonel Pham Ba Hau, Deputy Director of the Department for Party and Political Work (the Ministry of Public Security) and deputy head of the Group 2 Organizing Board, stressed that the competition aims to evaluate the results and quality of regulations, military and martial arts training of police of units and localities, thereby praising the forces, promoting the emulation movement "For national security", and contributing to tightening the discipline and improving the quality and efficiency of ensuring security and order in the new situation.

With that meaning, he requested the participating teams focus on researching, proposing and implementing synchronously solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of regulations, military and martial arts training of the people’s police.
The competition is also to properly evaluate the results of the training work, thus creating visible changes in both awareness and action, contributing to building revolutionary, regular, elite and gradually modern police forces, he said.
According to the schedule, the competition takes place in two days (June 25 and 26) with three contents including regulations, martial arts and shooting.
In the regulations examination, all members of the teams have to take a theory test, answering 10 multiple choice questions about the public security regulations and related documents.

In the practising part, the teams organize the unit gathering and line-up review as well as practice one of six ceremonies: the national flag saluting; awarding and receiving the Order to the collective; taking an oath; rank promotion; announcing decisions to appoint and re-appoint the leadership positions; and offering flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs and President Ho Chi Minh.
In the martial arts competition, the units experience four contents including technique, tactic, a martial arts mixture of 44 movements, and martial arts application situations.
In the shooting competition, each team appoints a group of five members, including at least one division-level leader or the equivalent, to take a real-life shot, CZ75 slow-motion shot and CZ75 application shot.
In his welcome speech, Major General To An Xo, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Director of the Bac Giang provincial Police, and head of Group 2 Organizing Board, said Bac Giang was honored to be selected by the Ministry of Public Security to organize the competition – Group 2.

The competition is an opportunity for officers and soldiers to meet, learn from and exchange experience with each other, as well as tighten their solidarity and cooperation in ensuring security and order, he said.
To make the event successful, the Bac Giang provincial Police has created the most favorable conditions for and promptly met all requirements of the participating units and localities, he added.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams competed in the contents of the line-up review and martial arts application situations; and took a theory test on the public security regulations.
