Construction of the bid packages is basically on schedule but some of them are in slow progress due to rainy weather. Land clearance in some localities is delayed while some contractors have not proactively reinforced labor force, machinery and materials.
As grasping the situation, PPC Chairman Duong Van Thai highly appreciated great efforts by the related departments, agencies, the districts of Hiep Hoa and Viet Yen and contractors in accelerating construction of Belt road No.4 project.
Construction of the main route is being speeded up to ensure completion schedule. |
He requested PMB to continue collaborating with the people’s committee of Viet Yen and Hiep Hoa districts to remove remaining obstacles regarding land clearance on this route. They should arrange staff to the construction site to supervise and timely handle difficulties of the contractors.
The peoples’ committee of Viet Yen district should instruct related units to promptly surmount the obstacles for land handover to the contractors.
The contractors should reinforce manpower in taking advantage of favourable weather condition to accelerate progress of the remaining items. They should strictly implement the approved plan and strive for technical opening of the main route of the project in late April.
