At the meeting, the Standing Committee of Hiep Hoa district’s party committee reported on implementation of the local political duties. Accordingly, its socio-economic development has gained positive results. The political security and social order have been kept stable. The district also paid high attention to prevention of Covid-19.

The participants discussed and recommended solutions to remove obstacles in implementation of the projects in Doan Bai industrial cluster along the national highway No 37, talked about land use planning and collaboration to ensure security and social order especially in the industrial parks and clusters.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai pointed out 4 major obstacles of Hiep Hoa district in the fields of land management, compensation for land clearance, handling complaints and denunciations and ensuring security and social order.

In order to remedy the shortcomings, he requested the district to evaluate their direction and implementation of the duties, collaborate with related agencies, promptly report Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for resolution when necessary, pay special attention to dialogues with the people and ensure transparency in progressing the projects.

The district’s party committee needs to provide regular directions for the economic development projects to timely remove obstacles. They were also urged to strengthen land and natural resources management and accelerate implementation of new-style rural area programme aiming at the core target to improve people’s quality of life in rural areas.

In his conclusion, PPC Secretary Bui Van Hai stressed, the leadership capacity can be expressed in what have been done. Hence, it is necessary to achieve consensus in leadership in line with vision and firmly grasping policies. It is also essential to talk and listen to people’s complaints about related issues to work out proper policies and achieve consensus among grassroots.

The PPC Secretary added, the district needed to focus on industrial and urban development and good implementation of land use planning and clearance to build Hiep Hoa district into the motivation area for economic development in the west of the province. Besides, they should pay attention to developing the traffic routes for trade connection in which the belt road No 4 is the core to link the routes.

It is necessary to make long-term development planning of the district in which defining the motivation and key targets to set up a strategic planning.

In terms of land management, it is necessary to localize land for industrial development and land for farm production.

In agricultural sector, the district needs to establish the production areas at communal level.
