By 2030, the country aims for at least 90% of its communes to achieve new-style rural status. Additionally, 9 to 10 provinces are expected to complete the new-style rural development programme, with 4 to 5 of them reaching the standards for modernised rural development.
The national target programme on new-style rural development and sustainable poverty reduction plays a particularly vital role in promoting socio-economic development in rural areas, ensuring social welfare, and improving the quality of life for rural populations.
By 2030, the average per capita income in rural areas is expected to increase by at least 2.5 times compared to 2020 levels, reaching approximately 105 million VND (4,000 USD) per person per year.
