Many exciting activities

As planned, the opening ceremony of the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival and the provincial Culture - Tourism Week 2023 will take place from February 1 to 6, 2023 (the 11th to the 16th of the first month in the Year of the Cat) in Yen Dung, Luc Nam, Luc Ngan and Son Dong district.

At Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area, along with the opening ceremony of the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival and the provincial Culture - Tourism Week, many activities will be organized such as a thematic exhibition "Buddhist sacred mark of Tay Yen Tu - Relics from the ground"; a procession of the set of woodblocks "Cu Tran Lac Dao Phu" to Thuong (Upper) Pagoda; a spring newspaper festival; an exhibition featuring beautiful photos of socio-economic achievements; and folk game tournaments.

Son Dong district will also hold many events, including a cultural - tourism camp, a painting contest on Tay Yen Tu, a display of OCOP products and specialties in the province, and a marathon to conquer the sacred peak of Tay Yen Tu.

In addition to establishing four sub-committees to implement the contents, the district People's Committee has assigned specific tasks to units and localities. Under the directions of specialized agencies, the People's Committees of communes and townships are focusing on performing related tasks.

As the unit assigned to be in charge of organizing mass music festivals and folk games, the district Culture - Information and Sports Center has selected performances that won high prizes at the music and dance festivals of agencies, units, enterprises and cultural clubs to be staged at the Square.

Nguyen Van Thuc, head of the district Culture - Information Division, said “To create highlights, we will design and set up 17 main camps and auxiliary ones for 17 communes and townships. At their camps, the participating localities will display artifacts and perform cultural performances bearing their unique traditions.

These days, Tay Yen Tu Service Joint Stock Company has mobilized its entire staff to embellish areas in Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area. At the station area, workers are carrying out maintenance of the cable car system.

According to Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Managing Director of Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area, the company has spent more than 1 billion VND ($42,640) decorating and creating highlights for the area to attract tourists, plus 2 billion VND for the stage and other conditions. It has doubled the parking area to accommodate about 2,000 cars at the same time.

Tong Thi Huong Giang, Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee said: "It is expected that during the provincial Culture - Tourism Week, Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area will welcome about 150,000 visitors. In order to make good preparations, we require the sub-committees to report daily progress to promptly remove difficulties."

Determining that the work of ensuring security, order and traffic safety will make an important contribution to the success of the festival, the district People's Committee asked the security subcommittee to develop a detailed plan, focusing on fighting and preventing various types of crime before and during the event. Son Dong district’s police agency has mobilized more than 200 officers and soldiers to maintain nearly 30 working groups with specific tasks.
