Three Bac Giang students with highest score at entrance exam to grade 10

(BGO) – At the entrance examination to grade 10 held on June 4, three students in Bac Giang province gained the highest score. They are excellent students with great effort in studying, practicing and improving the knowledge.

New valedictorian at entrance exam to grade 10

With 27.95 points, Duong Khanh Linh at 9A3 class of Le Quy Don Secondary School (Bac Giang city) surpassed more than 20,100 candidates to be new valedictorian at the entrance exam to grade 10 in Bac Giang province in 2022.

Linh has gained excellent academic results for nine consecutive years. Moreover, the intelligent student won second prize at the municipal contest for excellent student in English from grade 6 to 9.

Reminding herself that “On the way to success, there is no trace of lazy men”, Linh always sets high determination on study. She kept strong focus on class lessons to deeply understand the knowledge and finish the homework in the class so as to ask for teacher’s instruction if there was something unclear. At home, Linh spent time on practicing more and reinforcing harder knowledge.

Besides, she often arranges suitable time for study and entertainment. Apart from hours studying, Linh reads books, goes swimming and helping her mother to do housework in the small cozy room at Green City Apartment in Tho Xuong ward (Bac Giang city). The little girl sets target of good study and achievement as the priceless gift for the mother.

Perfect score in Math

The first runner up at the entrance exam to grade 10 in Bac Giang province was Hoang Trong Truong at 9C class of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Luc Ngan district) with 27.6 points (Literature: 8.25; English:9.35 and Math:10).

When the exam came closer, he decided to study at home instead of taking private lessons because the smart boy can gain more deep knowledge by self-research period.

With a special passion on Math and kind guidance from teacher Nguyen Trong Khai, Truong always got high scores and became member of excellent student team in Math with many prizes such as First and Second Prize in Math at the district level contest for excellent students from grade 6 to 9 as well as Consolidation Prize at provincial level contest.

High determination at the entrance exam to grade 10 helped him gain perfect score as a deserving gift.

Truong’s achievement was inspired from studious tradition of his family. His father is also a teacher who taught him the study method at early stage. At any environment, the little student exerts every effort to promote the studying spirit.

In the evening, Truong reviewed the old lessons and extended the knowledge. He woke up early in the morning to read new lesson for upcoming day to be more active at class lesson.

Books are his close friend during the childhood. Truong regularly visits school library to borrow reference documents for self-research.

Good study at all subjects

Vu Viet Anh at 9A1class of Kep town Secondary School (Lang Giang district) became second runner up at the entrance exam to grade 10 with 27.45 points (Literature:8.25, English:9.85, Math:9.35). He was good student at all school subjects.

With this score, Viet Anh became valedictorian at the entrance exam to grade 10 in Lang Giang No.2 High School which helped prolong his consecutive achievement.

During 9 academic years, he was excellent student with average score of 9.5 in all subjects which was highest at his school. This year, he won Third prize at English in both district and provincial level contest for excellent student

He is considered as a dictionary by his friends because he always supports them when they need. Sharing about the studying experience, he said: “I spend most of the time self-studying at home because it is convenient and comfortable for me”.

The boy arranged time to study every subject. His sister who used to win many high prizes on Math and excellently graduated at University of Natural Science is the bright model for the boy to follow.

Though it is summer break now, Viet Anh still self-studies English online to improve his level and prepare for his IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test.
