Viet Yen develops many hi-tech farming areas

(BGO) – This year, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in Bac Giang province has focused on supporting Viet Yen district to review and expand hi-tech farming areas to serve industrial parks, clusters as well as local school canteens. It is among the tasks to assist the district to become city by 2025.

Particularly, the district develops and expands concentrated vegetable growing areas in line with VietGAP and organic standard in the communes of Quang Minh, Trung Son, Nghia Trung, Viet Tien, Tu Lan and Minh Duc (total area of 80ha); staple products (chili, cucumber, melon, sweet potato…) in the communes of Thuong Lan, Tu Lan, Viet Tien and Quang Minh; establishes 60ha area to grow onion in the communes of Nghia Trung and Ninh Son as well as 80ha area to produce peanut in the communes of Ninh Son and Minh Duc.

At the same time, the district strives to develop 30ha herbal cultivation area in the communes of Minh Duc and Nghia Trung to serve raw materials for herbal processing facilities and plants.

In addition to instruct local farmers to stably and effectively maintain existing hi-tech farming models in about 18.47 ha, the competent officials at the DARD regularly cooperate with the localities to switch the animal, crop structure and gather the field to form concentrated production area.

The One Commune One Product programme is well implemented in attachment to key, signature and potentials products in the district while enhancing the operational effectiveness of agricultural cooperatives, accelerating digital transformation in agriculture to raise the income of local residents and create internal force for sustainable new style rural building.

Consumption of farm produce: Creativity comes from difficulty
(BGO)- Despite numerous difficulties caused by Covid-19 pandemic when Bac Giang became the epidemic center of the country, the province saw smooth consumption of farm produce thanks to involvement of the levels, sectors and grassroots with creative and flexible methods. When lychee and citrus trees enjoyed bumper crops with good prices and other farm products were smoothly consumed, the farmers live in comfort.
Bac Giang to export over 4,200 tonnes of processed farm produce to RoK
(BGO) – Vifoco Import Export Joint Stock Company in Bac Giang city (Vifoco) (Bac Giang province) has inked contract to export over 4,200 tonnes of processed farm produce of potato, carrot and pumpkin to the Republic of Korea (RoK) in 2022. So far, 300 tonnes of products have been processed and exported under the deal.

(BGO) - The Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has issued document to order the departments, sectors, agencies and localities to enhance management of growing area codes and package facility for farm produce.  
Bac Giang opens markets to consume orange, pomelo and key farm produce
(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province (PPC) on November 11 chaired and cooperated with the Ministries of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to launch teleconference about consumption of orange, pomelo, local key and signature farm produce with ten bridge points  in Bac Giang and major one in Luc Ngan district. It was live on Bac Giang Television chanel.
Bac Giang well prepares conditions to organize trade promotion for key farm produce
(BGO) – On November 2, Vice Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Phan The Tuan chaired a meeting about preparing and organizing the trade promotion activities for key and signature farm produce in Luc Ngan district.
