Vocational training facilities grasp the need, focus on skill practice

(BGO) – To welcome open chances for career, vocational study has been selected by many students after graduating from secondary and high school. Recently, the vocational training facilities in the northern province of Bac Giang have highly concentrated on enrollment task for new courses.

Widely opening to trainees

Thanks to early career orientation, especially knowing that Bac Giang has many industrial parks and clusters in need of skilled human resources, many students registered to vocational training courses after graduating from secondary and high school to save the expense for family as well as quickly obtain a job. The vocational schools have increased the educational scale to serve the demand of both trainees and businesses.

Vietnam-Korea Technology Vocational College cooperates with business in vocational training.

In 2022 – 2023 year, Vietnam-Korea Technology Vocational College (VK Tech) plans to enroll over 1,300 students for both college and high school levels. 1,000 trainees have been admitted so far, mostly to four major professions of electricity – electronic, fashion garment, automotive technology, information technology which are in search of many employers.

The Bac Giang Mountain College now has more than 1,000 students who both study vocational course and culture at the same time. The college consults the careers with main knowledge of skill practice that suit the trainee. The statistic proved that 90 pecent of post graduates here were employed immediately with initial salary of 6 to 8 million VND per month.

The province has 37 vocational training facilities which annually train more than 36,000 labours (including over 1,700 people at college level, over 6,000 people at intermediate level and over 28,000 people at pre-intermediate level)

The college now provides training courses in 10 groups of careers with priority taken to technical field to serve most of the students. In the upcoming time, it will continue proposing more training fields to meet the needs of the labour market.

Ready to supply human resources

In early August 2022, the Bac Giang College of Industrial Techniques fulfilled all enrollment quota of nearly 2,000 candidates before universities announced the benchmark.

Apart from linking to provincial businesses, it has recently cooperated with 20 enterprises in other provinces of Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi city to supply the human resources. Since 2021, Bac Giang College of Industrial Techniques has realized the training cooperation programme about human resource supply to several companies in Japan and Republic of Korea.

Bac Giang province currently houses six industrial parks, operating mostly in the districts of Viet Yen, Yen Dung, Hiep Hoa and Bac Giang city with increasing demand of labour employment.

The province has 37 vocational training facilities which annually train more than 36,000 labours (including over 1,700 people at college level, over 6,000 people at intermediate level and over 28,000 people at pre-intermediate level). The vocational education network is well distributed so that each district or city has at least one public establishment to welcome students.

The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) highly evaluated the efforts of vocational training schools to improve the educational quality. The graduated students of these facilities have been employed by big enterprises and well satisfied the working requirement at the production line.

To encourage the trainees, supply trained human resources to provincial industrial parks and clusters, the provincial People’s Council issued Resolution No.61/2021/NQ-HDND on December 10, 2021 regulating policy to support vocational education in Bac Giang province in 2021 – 2025.

Accordingly, the students follow vocational training course after secondary school graduation will be supported monthly allowance of 200,000 VND. The special cases of ethnic student; children living in poor, near poor family; disabled people or those without source of nourishment will receive 400,000 VND per month.

In the upcoming time, the DoLISA orders the vocational schools to continue well implementing Prime Minister’s Decree No.24/CT-TTg on May 28, 2020 about accelerating the development of trained human resources to increase the labour productivity and national competitiveness in new situation.

DoLISA has cooperated with the provincial Industrial Park Management Board to improve the quality of short term, midterm and long term forecast about human resource, demand for job and training per field, career and profession while urging the vocational training facilities to further renovate teaching programme, enhance practice skill to meet the needs of labour market.
