12th National Vocational Skills Competition opens

The 12th National Vocational Skills Competition opened both in online and offline forms in Hanoi, Vinh Long and Quang Ninh on December 6.

Speaking at the opening, General Director of the Directorate of Vocational Education Truong Anh Dung said nearly 180 contestants from 25 delegations will compete in 11 vocations online using cloud computing, big data and broadband connection technology, and three vocations offline.

The event is also meant to choose qualified contestants for the national team to compete in the second Asian and 46th WorldSkills competitions.

Its activities will take place from December 1-December 12, including a technical workshop, thematic seminars, opening and closing ceremonies.

Contestants will compete in five vocations online in the first stage from December 2-5, and six others online and three offline in the second stage from December 7-9. The closing ceremony is scheduled for December 12 afternoon.

Over 41,000 labours aided from Unemployment insurance fund
(BGO) – Implementing Government’s Resolution No.116/NQ-CP about supporting employees and employers affected by Covid-19 pandemic from Unemployment insurance fund (UIF), as of October 21, the Social Insurance in Bac Giang province paid for over 41,000 labours with total amount of 94.4 billion VND (4.1 million USD) (six rates ranging from 1.8 to 3.3 million VND per person).
