Addressing the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong expressed on every one’s essential demand and legitimate requirement for safety food.
The safety food not only protects our current health but also the future generation, thus it is crucial for the organizations, units and localities to drastically join hands to ensure the food safety toward sustainable development and people’s health protection.
On behalf of the provincial multi-sectoral Steering Board for food safety, he urged the departments, sectors, agencies, People’s Committee in the districts, city, People’s Committee in the communes, town, the Farmers’ Association at all levels, food production and trading facilities as well as the provincial citizens to actively respond to and well implement the food safety target and criteria in 2020.

The DARD should chair and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade as well as relevant agencies to instruct the development of safe food production areas, food production and trading under value chain, food craft village, distribution store system of safe food; enhance the management to ensure the food safety to the food craft villages, whole sale market of food and farm produce; reinforce the inspection and supervision the food safety compliance at the food suppliers to many people, scattered slaughtering and processing facilities.
Also, the DARD well collaborates with the Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) and member organizations to communicate, supervise and ink the food safety commitment.

The provincial Farmers’ Association should further accelerate the communication on agro-forestry-fishery production to endure food safety; persuade the farmer members, scattered production and processing facilities of agriculture products to ink the commitment of safety production and trading while multiplying the safe agro-forestry-fishery model in the province.
On the occasion, representatives of the Farmers’ Association in the districts and city signed in the Emulation Agreement on implementing the food safety criteria in 2020.
The Action Month for food safety is annually held in May, but due to the Covid-19 impact, this year the organization board delayed the time to hold the launching ceremony till June.
