Bac Giang closely supervises sources of Covid-19 infection, strictly obeys social distancing
According to the provincial Steering Committee, the risk of disease infection from foreign countries is decreasing. Meanwhile, there is high risk of pandemic spread from the national outbreaks especially Hanoi.

Although the province tracked down and isolated people connected to Bach Mai Hospital outbreak, many of them declared untruthfully. Besides, foreigners undertaking 14-day quarantine still face risk of infection while they often travel to everywhere.
Currently, the province is home to nearly 6,800 people returning from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In which, 44 people are in concentrated quarantine, 6,729 people self-quarantine at home and 68 people have been taken test specimens.
According to reports by representatives of some related departments and agencies at the meeting, there are still many people going out while some “non-essential” services do not strictly obey the order to be suspended such as restaurants, karaoke, taxi and coach.
167 cases have been fined in the entire province. In addition, the social protection areas have not been regularly sterilised due to shortage of chemicals. There is small reserve of materials and equipment to fight the pandemic.
Concluding the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong urged the provincial departments, agencies and citizens to strictly observe the social distancing rule. Many people look down on the pandemic prevention because they see slight increase in the number of infected cases these days, said the PPC Vice Chairman.
Hence, the competent agencies need strictly handle the violations against social distancing to combat Covid-19. It is necessary to continue closely supervising sources of infection in which thoroughly tracking down people returning from Bach Mai Hospital.
The districts and city should require people coming from Bach Mai Hospital to extent their self- quarantine at home by 14 days. All of these cases must be tested as of April 10. Make the lists for health supervision of people coming from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Speed up purchasing medical equipment, biologicals and chemicals. Enhance testing capacity while promptly buying quick test kits from the donated fund for pandemic prevention and control.
It is essential to foster screening tests, detect and exclude people visiting the medical facilities for health check to localize and control the pandemic spread. The treatment facilities need to be well prepared to respond to pandemic developments at different levels. It is necessary to pay attention to protecting health of the medical staff and people working in the isolation areas.

The province has not set up checkpoints at the entrances to the province this time. However, the transportation sector should collaborate with the provincial Department of Public Security to closely manage and punish vehicles violating the regulations on pandemic prevention and control.
The provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs was urged to provide protective equipment to the social protection beneficiaries, supervise health of the employees working in these facilities and collaborate with the communication agency to popularize the policies to support enterprises affected by Covid-19 outbreak.
The provincial Department of Public Security needs to continue strictly managing foreigners residing in Bac Giang and reinforcing local self-management groups to combat the pandemic while ensuring security and order.
The provincial Department of Health was requested to submit plan to allocate the donated fund for pandemic fight handed over by the provincial Fatherland Front ensuring efficiency and proper utilization.
