Bac Giang launches 13th “Red Journey programme” and honours outstanding blood donors
BAC GIANG- The provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign on June 9 organised a ceremony to launch the 13th “Red Journey” program and honour outstanding blood donors in Bac Giang province in 2025 at the provincial Convention Center.
The province has received more than 310,000 blood units since 2005. Particularly, it received over 28,000 blood units in 2024, reaching 166 percent against the set target by the central authority.

Besides, 16 blood donation festivals were held in the first 6 months 2025 attracting 12,000 participants and receiving around 15,000 blood units.
On this occasion, 400 outstanding collectives, families and individuals involved in the voluntary blood donation campaign were rewarded by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, Vietnam Red Cross Society, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation.
Remarkably, 120 out of 400 outstanding organizations and individuals were honoured.
In response to the Red Journey programme, the provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion will organise a voluntary blood donation festival, which is expected to receive 2,000 blood units (after conversion).
