The province has received more than 310,000 blood units since 2005. Particularly, it received over 28,000 blood units in 2024, reaching 166 percent against the set target by the central authority.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong and Vice President of Vietnam Red Cross Society Vu Thanh Luu give certificates of merit and honorary symbols for outstanding organizations and individuals.

Besides, 16 blood donation festivals were held in the first 6 months 2025 attracting 12,000 participants and receiving around 15,000 blood units.

On this occasion, 400 outstanding collectives, families and individuals involved in the voluntary blood donation campaign were rewarded by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, Vietnam Red Cross Society, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation.

Remarkably, 120 out of 400 outstanding organizations and individuals were honoured.

In response to the Red Journey programme, the provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion will organise a voluntary blood donation festival, which is expected to receive 2,000 blood units (after conversion).

Nearly 9,000 blood units collected at red spring festival

As many as 8,928 blood units were donated at the Xuan hong (Red spring) blood donation festival that ran from February 8 to 16 at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT).

Voluntary blood donation exceeds 66.1% of yearly plan

BAC GIANG – Thanks to diverse methods to spread the voluntary blood donation movement, in 2024, the Bac Giang provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with the Steering Committees for Voluntary Blood Donation of districts, township, city, agencies and enterprises in the province to organize 36 Voluntary Blood Donation festivals.

One outstanding blood donor in Bac Giang honored nationwide

BAC GIANG - The National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation held a ceremony in Hanoi on June 15 to honour 100 outstanding blood donors in 2024, including one individual from Bac Giang province - Than Quang Phong born in 1987, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hong Thai ward (Viet Yen township).
