On this four day holiday, people had more time to relax and entertain after mass gathering was prohibited for long time due to Covid-19 pandemic. Local tourist destinations were mostly selected because of ease travel and comfortable leisure activities. It was good news for inner-provincial tourism.

Many people visit Wedding Land Entertainment Park in Song Mai commune (Bac Giang city) for this year holiday.

Favorable weather facilitated visitors to travel, join outing and entertainment events. The communication and promotion activities were accelerated, especially on mass media, social network of facebook and zalo so many people came to the tourist attractions.

Particularly, Wedding Land Entertainment Park in Song Mai commune (Bac Giang city) welcomed nearly 2,000 tourist arrivals everyday. Manager Than Thi Nhung said the Management Board took two year of suspension due to Covid-19 prevention and control to revamp and construct many more highlights to lure visitors such as Dragon spring, Fairy waterfall, ecological lake, Japanese garden, culinary area and studio with various themes among others.

The resort with swimming pool, restaurant and coffee shop attracted not only local people but also families and delegations from other localities of Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong and Hanoi to make reservation during the holiday.

This year, Suoi Mo festival was held at the same time with National Reunification Holiday and May Day in Nghia Phuong commune (Luc Nam district). With unique scale and feature, Suoi Mo festival was recognized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as national intangible cultural heritage in 2015. During four day holiday, the site welcomed more than 30,000 tourist arrivals.

Good climate and smooth traffic inspired thousands of visitors to travel back to highland of Son Dong to Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex. It attracted more than 10,000 turns of visitors, many from other provinces . 40 percent of the tourists used cable car service.

Other popular destinations in the province welcomed numerous visitors, including Khe Ro, Dong Cao (Son Dong district); Ven village (Yen The district); Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Truc Lam Phuong Hoang Monastery (Yen Dung district), Xuong Giang temple (Bac Giang city), Bo Da pagoda (Viet Yen district)…as well as entertainment centers in Bac Giang city like Sun City, Yody Kids, Hoang Hoa Tham Park and Da Mai Rose Garden Studio.

Recovering limitation, stimulating tourism

Besides new features, some bad images still occurred at several tourism sites and areas. Some visitors gathered wood to grill meat by themselves that could lead to forest fire together with littering at tourism sites in Khe Ro and Dong Cao while beggars and vendors appeared at Suoi Mo eco tourism site.

Tourism activity is scattered without linkage between area, site and service so it is hard to keep visitors.

According to Duong Hong Co, Vice Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the upcoming time, the Department will futher cooperate with relevant agencies and localities to strongly renovate the application of information technology in communicating and promoting Bac Giang tourism to visitors.

Priority is taken to create new tourism products with regional signature, enhance quality of service together with preferential policies to lure more tourists.

Competent agencies must regularly inspect to timely detect, prevent and handle any offensive behavior affecting the beauty and safety for travellers while propagandising officials and staff to renovate the serving manner, civilized response at the tourism sites and complexes.
