Bac Giang upgrades provincial road 293
BAC GIANG – The Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has approved an investment policy to upgrade and expand provincial road 293, running from Bac Giang City to the access road to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda.
The project, funded by the provincial budget, has a total investment of approximately 1,799 billion VND (78.2 million USD) and covers a distance of 8.92 km.

It includes the section from Km3+380 in Tan Tien ward (Bac Giang City) to Km7+400 (Van Son Bridge), and from Km8+400 to Km13+300 at the intersection leading to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Lan Mau commune, Luc Nam district.
The road bed is 58.5 meter wide, the road surface is 21 meters, a 1.5-meter central median, 4-meter side medians and 18-meter-wide frontage road on both sides.
Bridges along the route will be newly built or expanded to match the road’s scale. Intersections will also be developed in line with planning standards. The project is scheduled to begin in 2025 and be completed in 2028.
The project aims to improve regional transport infrastructure, enhance connectivity, reduce congestion and accidents, expand urban space, promote socio-economic development and strengthen national defense and security.
The provincial Project Management Board for transport and agricultural construction will coordinate with relevant units to finalize the feasibility study and submit it for approval under the Law on Public Investment.
