At its first meeting, the 19th provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure elected its Standing Board, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Inspection Commission and head of the commission.

Fifteen comrades were elected to the Standing Board of the 19th provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure. With a high number of votes, Duong Van Thai, Deputy Secretary of the 18th provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, was elected as Secretary of the 19th provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Le Thi Thu Hong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the 18th provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, and Le Anh Duong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, were named Deputy Secretaries of the 19th provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.

The meeting also elected 11 members to the provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission. Nguyen Thi Huong, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, head of the committee’s Inspection Commission for the 18th tenure was re-elected as head of the commission for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Secretary Duong Van Thai thanked delegates, officials, Party members and people in the province for their trust. This is a great honour and also a heavy responsibility entrusted by the provincial Party Organisation and people of all ethnic groups in the province, he said.

The provincial Party Organisation for the 19th tenure will inherit and promote the achievements of the Party Organisation during the development path fostered by generations of leaders and people of ethnic groups in the province. It will work hard to enhance solidarity and unity, raise the sense of responsibility, promote innovation, maintain principles, strictly obey the working regulations, as well as lead and organize the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation.

He wished that the provincial Party Committee will always receive the attention and regular and timely direction of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnamese Fatherland Front; the coordination and support from ministries, central agencies and organisations; and the sharing and encouragement of the senior revolutionists and the leaders of the province through periods.

He laid special stress on the joint efforts, unanimity and determination of the whole political system, all soldiers, officials, Party members, the business community and people of all ethnic groups in the province, which will help the provincial Party Organisation fulfill all assigned tasks.
