According to the Department of Overseas Labour, this is a good signal for Vietnamese workers who wish to work in Japan and specific procedures are being urgently completed by Japanese agencies to provide detailed instructions next week.
According to the latest pandemic prevention policy announced by the Japanese Government last week, fully vaccinated people (at least 14 days after the second dose) with vaccines approved in Japan including Pfizer , Mordena, and Astrazeneca combined with a negative RT-PCR test result from within 72 hours prior to entry can self-quarantine at home for three days after entry.
For those who have not been fully vaccinated or vaccinated with other types of vaccines, they are required to self-isolate at home for 14 days after entry. If the test is negative after 10 days, they can conclude the isolation period.
Previously, in response to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's request to support Vietnamese people living in Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio affirmed that he always cares for the 400,000 Vietnamese community in his country.
The Japanese PM said that he will continue to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students and interns to return to Japan and support Vietnam's proposal on opening market for some Vietnamese agricultural products.
