Updated: 20:16, 02/05/2019
(BGO) – The barber Hoang The Tam in My Cau village, Tan My commune (Bac Giang city) has spent time on giving free haircut to the patients under treatment at the provincial hospitals.

The 55 year old man used to work as the barber in Lang Son province for many years to earn a living. When getting older, he moves to live and work at the hometown to care for his mother. His daily income is only enough to pay for the normal life. Though Tam is suffered from the heart disease, he is always ready to help others.

Living near the Bac Giang provincial Hospital of Tumour, the barber witnesses the miserable patients from many locations coming here for treatment who are exhausted in both physical strength and spirit. Tam deeply sympathies with the paint and difficulties of the patients because his family lost a member due to severe illness.

The poor condition does not allow him to support them in cash so he helps them within his ability. Seeing that it’s hard for the patients to go out for a haircut, especially those under long treatment, Tam decided to go to the provincial Hospital of Tumour to give them free haircut.

In the first days, many people felt his action strange but now everyone is familiar with the image of the barber who gives haircut for the patients in the hospital corridor. During cutting hair, he talks to the patients humorously and encourages them to overcome the diseases.

Later on, Tam rides his motorbike to the General Hospital in Tan Yen district, the provincial Hospital for Rehabilitation and others to deliver the good deeds. Once he gave haircut to 50 patients, including many paralysis patients.
