(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Luc Ngan district,
Bac Giang province has built a plan to implement various solutions to support the
farmers to harvest, process and consume the lychee under two situations.
The first is done when Covid-19 situation is well controlled domestically then the trade exchange is at normal condition. The People’s Committee expects to sell 114,000 tonnes of fresh fruits (51,000 tonnes at domestic market and the remaining quantity for export); dry, make juice and canned fruits about 6,000 tonnes.

Second situation is done under complicated development of the pandemic. The People’s Committee plans to consume about 95,000 tonnes of fresh fruits (60,000 tonnes at domestic market and the remaining quantity for export) as well as 25,000 tonnes by other methods.

Japanese GI certificate: "Passport" for Luc Ngan lychee to enter fastidious markets
(BGO) - Luc Ngan lychee is the first product of Vietnam that has been officially granted a geographical indication (GI) certificate in Japan. This event marks an important milestone and is a new opportunity for lychee exports to many different markets. Bac Giang: VietGap lychee cultivation area increases
(BGO) – This year, Bac Giang province sees a flowering rate of about 90-95 percent for the early-ripening lychee and 85-90 percent for the main-crop lychee (over 95 percent in Luc Ngan district), 1.5 times higher than those of the lychee season 2020. The area of lychees grown under clean standards has expanded, according to provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has just granted a geographical indication (GI) certificate for lychee grown in Luc Ngan district of Bac Giang province, according to the provincial Department of Science and Technology.
