Doctor of countryside

At the time when the Covid-19 pandemic was developing complicatedly, doctor Nguyen Thi Xoan (born in 1970), head of the medical station of Tri Yen commune (Yen Dung district) was much busier. With the motto "Going to each alley, knocking at the door of each house, and examining each person", the communal medical station reviewed and made a list of 102 cases coming from pandemic-hit areas for quarantine and health monitoring at home, contributing to the timely and effective prevention and control of the pandemic.

As the only doctor of the station, Xoan spends time instructing her colleagues how to perform many difficult techniques. To avoid overlaps as well as overloads, the unit has applied the "5S" model to arrange medical records and supplies scientifically; while making schedules of check-up and medicine distribution for each group in a specific time.

In July 2020, the Tri Yen commune medical station met the national health criteria for the 2011-2020 period with the highest score in the province. For many years, the examination and treatment activities of the station have met and exceeded the planned targets, with no epidemics occurring and the rate of children going to the station for vaccination reaching 100 percent. With these efforts, for many consecutive years, Dr. Nguyen Thi Xoan was commended and rewarded by Yen Dung district and the provincial Department of Health.

Teacher who inspires many good students

With a sense of responsibility and dedication, Pham Thi Thuy (born in 1982), Math teacher at the Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Luc Ngan district) always brings excitement to her students. During 17 years of teaching, she has fostered many excellent students who won high prizes in exams to select excellent students at all levels.

After graduating from a teacher training university, Thuy was assigned to teach at the Bo Ha Township Secondary School (Yen The district) and then the Quy Son Secondary School (Luc Ngan district). In 2010, she moved to the Tran Hung Dao Secondary School and was elected as head of the school’s Natural Science team.

With firm professional knowledge, for many years, Thuy has been assigned with the task of fostering excellent students in Math by the school's leaders. Over the past 5 years, the team of excellent students directly taught by Thuy has won 283 prizes, including four gold and three silver medals in national online math competitions. In addition, she has also made many scientific studies which are widely applied in schools in the district.

At the freshly held patriotic emulation congresses of Luc Ngan district and the provincial Department of Education and Training, Thuy received the Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the district People's Committee and the provincial People's Committee.

Owner of initiatives to increase labor productivity

Vu Van Giang (born in 1989) has 3 years working at Suntech Import - Export and Commercial Production Joint Stock Company (Hiep Hoa).

Previously, he used to be a worker, Thanks to his inquiring mind, when working at the company, he was assigned by the Board of Directors as a production line leader and then head of the Production Management Department. During the working process, he had many effective proposals to help the Board of Directors manage and run production activities effectively, thus increasing labor productivity.

Currently, Giang directly manages production activities of a workshop with more than 700 workers. Besides arranging jobs in accordance with the capacity of each worker, he has many solutions to increase labor productivity, saving hundreds of million of dong per year for the company.

Thanks to many initiatives in management and production, for two consecutive years 2017 and 2018, Giang was honored by the provincial Labor Confederation in the "Excellent Labor - Creative Labor" emulation movement.
