Tet gifts presented to policy beneficiaries nationwide

On January 25, in Da Lat city (Lam Dong province), representatives from Nhan Dan Newspaper and the local authorities visited and presented Tet gifts to families of war invalids and those in difficult circumstances in the localities. Each gift was worth VND1 million.

The same day, another Nhan Dan delegation also visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Gia Vien district in the northern province of Ninh Binh. Previously, the delegation also paid a pre-Tet visit to units of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Security.

On Friday morning, Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan, led a delegation from the southern economic hub to offer flowers and burn incense at the Kim Lien Special National Monument in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh. On the occasion, the delegation presented Tet gifts to more than 100 policy families in Nam Dan district. They also donated VND700 million to the "Tet for the Poor" programme of Nghe An province.
Gatherings for Tet were also held on Friday for laborers at Tan An industrial cluster, Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak province), as well as in industrial zones in Thai Binh province. Workers at the events received Tet gifts and free bus tickets to return home to enjoy Tet with their families.
Lang Son province has organized 12 delegations to visit and give Tet gifts to local policy families and the armed force units on duty in the locale.
On January 25, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) - Ha Tinh II branch awarded 736 Tet gifts with a total value of VND368 million to orphans, children with disabilities and poor households in Ha Tinh city.
