21 localities no longer have temporary or dilapidated houses
The Ministry of Ethnic Minority and Religious Affairs (MERA) said that as of the end of June 7, a total of 21 localities nationwide no longer have temporary or dilapidated houses.
The results of the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses last week from the MERA showed that, as of June 7, 2025, An Giang Province has completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

This locality is expected to officially announce the result this June, thereby, bringing the total number of localities with no temporary or dilapidated houses nationwide to 21 out of 63 localities.
Additionally, some localities have continued to review the number of temporary and dilapidated houses in need of support, such as Lang Son and Tien Giang.
Thus, after one month from May 7, 2025, the number of localities nationwide with no temporary or dilapidated houses has increased by 6.
The remaining 26 localities are striving to complete this humane programme from July to October 2025.
According to reports from localities, the whole country has supported the elimination of 205,115 temporary and dilapidated houses (of which: 147,261 houses were inaugurated and 57,854 houses were started and under construction).
