To date, 28 distribution groups, 6 wholesale markets, 31 businesses and cooperatives in and outside the province have registered to consume the local lychee.

Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic this year, the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) is proposing the Government to facilitate Chinese traders in conducting procedure to immigrate to Bac Giang.

Vice Director of the DoIT Pham Cong Toan said: “As of May 18, 250 Chinese traders registered to come to Luc Ngan district to buy fresh lychee. Accordingly, they must show the Covid-19 negative certificate issued by Chinese authorities within 3 latest days. Besides, they will be placed in 14 day quarantine in line with the regulation to prevent and control Covid-19 pandemic”.

To meet the requirement to receive Chinese tradespersons, the PPC assigned the People’s Committee in Luc Ngan district to coordinate with the Health Department to arrange vehicles and sufficiently implement the Covid-19 preventive measures to these cases.

Luc Ngan district conducted survey and arranged 20 motels in the area for isolation. When the Chinese traders is allowed to immigrate to Vietnam, the district People’s Committee will arrange vehicle together with health worker and public security force to directly pick up them at the border gate to the district.

The PPC, departments, sectors and farmers in lychee growing areas are now ready for lychee consumption at traditional markets and export.

Several big supermarkets place lychee orders

Testing lychee steam and sterilization line for export

(BGO) – The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) on May 10 coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology, some agencies of the Ministry of  Agriculture and Rural Development to test the operation of the steam and sterilization line installed at Toan Cau Food Import – Export Joint Stock Company in Phuong Son commune, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province).

MoIT proposes remote inspection, recognition for export of lychee to Japan

(BGO)- The provincial Department of Industry and Trade has received a correspondence from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on addressing obstacles and boosting export of fresh lychee to Japan in 2020.

Contract inked to consume Phuc Hoa early ripen lychee

(BGO) – According to Ngo Van Cuong, head of GlovalGAP lychee production group in Quat Du 2 village, Phuc Hoa commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province), Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company on May 6 inked the contract to consume 30 tonnes of local early ripen lychee with the price of nearly 30,000 VND (1.28 USD) per kg.
