Bac Giang exports nearly 4,000 tonnes of early ripening lychees

Everyday, more than 50 trucks carrying Bac Giang lychee are cleared the customs procedure at Tan Thanh border gate in Lang Son province to enter China. The competent agencies here prioritize these trucks to implement customs clearing formalities.
The early ripening lychee crop covers more than 6,700 ha with estimated productivity of 55,000 tonnes and harvest time from late May till June 15.
The main season lychees are grown in over 21,500 ha which are now at flesh gaining stage. It yields about 135,000 tonnes and can be harvested from June 15 till July 25.
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continues directing and guiding farmers at growing area codes to apply caring technique for main season lychee to ensure productivity and quality.
