Bac Giang garment firms offer cash incentives to recruit workers
BAC GIANG – To expand production and meet urgent delivery deadlines, garment companies in Bac Giang are rolling out attractive hiring incentives as they face labor shortages.
KD Sports Vietnam, a South Korea-invested firm based in Thang township (Hiep Hoa district), currently employs 1,700 workers—only 70% of its labor demand.

“Young people now prefer jobs in the electronics sector, making recruitment more difficult,” said production manager Pham Xuan My.
To attract workers, the company offers free vocational training for new hires, who also receive salaries and benefits equal to longtime employees. Monthly income is guaranteed to be no less than 8 million VND (nearly 350 USD) after contract signing. New hires are also given a monthly bonus of 500,000 VND for the first three months.
Bac Giang has around 10,000 active enterprises employing over 340,000 people. More than 100 companies in the garment sector alone employ over 70,000 workers, not counting smaller producers.
According to the provincial Employment Service Center, nearly 20,000 textile workers will be needed in 2025—second only to the demand in the electronics sector. Most garment firms are offering attractive recruitment policies.

Tran Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, recommends stronger partnerships between businesses and vocational schools to provide on-site, demand-driven training. This approach saves time and costs while ensuring that workers understand workplace regulations from the outset.
The province will also organize specialized job fairs to supply labor for garment firms.
