Bac Giang lychees exported to Japan, US
In addition to the outstanding quality and appearance favored by local people, the result was attributable to the Vietnam Trade Office’s cooperation with enterprises in this country to create online channels to sell Bac Giang lychees. Thanks to that, Bac Giang lychees are known by a large number of Japanese people.
Lychees are preliminary processed and sterilized in a business in Luc Ngan district. |
After successfully exporting 20 tonnes of lychees to Japan, recently, Bac Giang has continued to ship its early-ripening lychees to the US market.
The products are gathered at the airport to be ready for air delivery. |
On May 28, New Ag Technologies Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) purchased 5 tonnes of early-ripen lychees in Phuc Hoa commune (Tan Yen district) for export to the US market.
Lychees are arrived at Japan at noon of May 27. |
All these lychees were cared for under the GlobalGAP process for sweet fruit and beautiful appearance. After being cut, the lychees were temporarily packed in styrofoam boxes, and then processed at a facility in Nam Dinh province before being shipped to the US.
The special fruits come to Japanese customer. |
This year, the province has 30 growing area codes, equivalent to 219.45 hectares of lychees exported to the Japanese market. The export volume is estimated at 1,800 tonnes. The entire lychee area is cared for according to the right process, ensuring the standards for export and domestic consumption. In the coming time, businesses will continue to promote lychee exports.
