Bac Ninh's love duet promoted in Berlin
An art programme was held in Berlin, Germany on April 12 evening by the northern province of Bac Ninh, aiming to introduce and promote ‘Quan ho’ (love duet) singing, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.
In his opening remarks, Trinh Huu Hung, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that over the past more than 15 years of fulfilling its commitments to UNESCO, Bac Ninh has implemented various policies and initiatives to preserve and promote the value of this heritage.

Alongside the restoration of traditional performance spaces in original Quan ho villages and the establishment of numerous clubs, the province has issued numerous incentive mechanisms and policies to support “Quan ho” villages and clubs, as well as artists and performers of this music genre.
The art programme was held following a wide range of cultural activities in France to promote “Quan ho” and Dong Ho folk paintings – UNESCO-recognised Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
A ceremony was held in the northern province of Bac Ninh on November 23 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Quan Ho singing as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

An exhibition themed "Bac Ninh's Quan Ho love duet singing - Quintessence and Identity" opened on November 13, as part of activities to mark the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho folk songs being recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
BAC GIANG - On October 6, the Bac Giang Provincial Quan Ho Culture Association organized the 2nd Quan Ho (Love Duet) Singing Festival of 19 future Quan Ho villages, period 2020-2026 at the Bac Giang Provincial Convention Center.
As part of the activities celebrating the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho (Love Duet) Singing from Bac Ninh being recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, an exhibition themed “Bac Ninh’s Quan Ho Singing - Enduring and Spreading” officially opened at Bac Ninh Museum.
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of March 24, the People's Committee of Viet Yen township (Bac Giang province) launched the opening ceremony of the 23rd Quan Ho Folk Singing Festival in 2024. It is among the activities within Bo Da Pagoda festival, taking place from March 24 to 27 (or the 15th to 18th of the second lunar month).
