Saudi billionaires to experience exclusive Vietnam tour for one month

Updated: 12:34, 14/04/2025

A group of Saudi billionaires said to be "closely connected to the royal family" is set to visit Vietnam in July, with plans for exclusive experiences in Ha Long Bay and visits to several locations across the country.

The organization arranging the tour for the special Saudi Arabian delegation confirmed that the group, which includes numerous members and their entourages, will fly directly to Vietnam on a private jet.

A beach at Bai Tu Long Bay in northern Vietnam that is reserved for super-rich tourists.

The delegation will stay for 28 days, with an itinerary that spans from north to south. Their first stop will be Ha Long Bay, where they are expected to stay for four days and three nights and participate in "completely exclusive" activities, the organizers said.

Afterward, the group will return to Hanoi and head to Hoi An City, with possible visits to either Con Dao Island or Nha Trang beach town. The organization also confirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is included in the trip's schedule.

The Saudi royal family, which comprises around 15,000 members, has about 2,000 individuals who hold most of the family’s power and wealth. According to TRT World, their total net worth is estimated at around US$1.4 trillion, largely from oil revenues and shares in the state-owned Saudi Aramco, making them the richest royal family in the world.

In February, the organization responsible for this tour also arranged a visit to Ha Long Bay for American millionaires Jeff Grinspoon and Jon Thomas Foley. During their trip, the two millionaires enjoyed a luxury tour on private islands.

While hosting Grinspoon and Foley, the organization worked with local authorities to ensure privacy during their visit, particularly in Ba Ham Lake and Tien Ong Cave, allowing the guests to explore in comfort. As Cua Van fishing village could not be closed off, the visit was carefully timed to avoid crowds, ensuring a private experience.

A company representative stated that they offer special, exclusive experiences for ultra-wealthy clients at various destinations across Vietnam.

For example, in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, they once arranged for a client to fly by helicopter from Hanoi rather than taking the road. In Da Nang, the company previously organized a tea-drinking experience at the top of Ban Co Mountain for billionaire Bill Gates.
