Central Retail Group plans to consume 1,000 tonnes of Bac Giang lychee
The Group leader proved the satisfaction after visiting lychee growing area in Luc Ngan district; highly evaluated the quality of local fruit and expected to cooperate more in consuming lychees and other farm produce.

Speaking at the event, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong thanked the Group for accompanying the province and farmers to bring local lychee to many markets. Defining lychee quality as main target in value chain, Bac Giang always pays due attention to applying advanced science into production to ensure highest product quality.
Now, the province has 28,000 ha of lychee, including over 15,000 ha following VietGAP procedure with estimated productivity of 113,000 tonnes, 82 ha of GlobalGAP cultivation with estimated output of 1,000 tonnes.
The province has been granted with more than 200 lychee growing area codes that meet export requirement to China, Japan, the US, Australia, EU countries and other potential countries.
The provincial leader informed the guest that the province orients to diversify fruit trees, maintain high quality lychee growing area for export and domestic demand, continue instructing and supporting lychee growers to approach to international standard of food safety and switch to organic production.
He hoped the Group to join hands with Bac Giang province to promote and introduce special fruit to supermarket systems and other channels; ink commitment to consume more Bac Giang lychee. The province promised to supply high quality fruit to supermarket. Apart from lychee, the province has many advantage products for long term cooperation.
Within the event, representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, People’s Committee in Luc Ngan, Tan Yen districts and the Group inked memorandum of understanding for cooperation to consume lychee at the Group supermarket chain in Vietnam in 2022 season.
This year the Group plans to consume about 1,000 tonnes of lychee and 100 tonnes of other farm produce.
