Time for making breakthroughs

Speaking at the regular meeting of the provincial People's Committee earlier this week, Chairman of the committee Le Anh Duong emphasized that the approval of the provincial planning is very important. It is like opening a huge door for the province to attract investment, tap its existing potential and strengths, raise its position. It is also an opportunity for Bac Giang to accelerate the socio-economic growth.

In order to improve the quality of training high-quality human resources, the Bac Giang Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology has just introduced a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) model worth more than 6 billion VND (262,900 USD).

The provincial planning is a breakthrough in construction and planning management because this is the first time the whole country has implemented the development of an integrated planning in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Planning.

Therefore, the province has focused on drastically directing the implementation, with the involvement of the whole political system in the process of developing the provincial planning.

Thanks to it, the planning-making work of the province has ensured the set schedule, Bac Giang is the first province to have its planning approved by the Prime Minister.

What is the future picture?

The good news is that the province is the first to have its planning approved, but the quality and the effective implementation of the planning are more delighted.

The provincial planning shows Bac Giang's will and aspiration to rise up with the goal that by 2030, it will become a modern industrial province, with its GRDP among the top 15 provinces and cities nationwide and ranking first in the northern midland and mountainous region. As for the roadmap to 2050, the province strives to be a modern industrial province, with comprehensive and sustainable development.

Accordingly, the province identifies industry as the main driving force for growth associated with the development of new spaces, making Bac Giang one of the industrial development centers in the region. It will diversify services and develop agriculture stably, towards safety, quality and efficiency.

Technical, social and urban infrastructure will be invested synchronously and modernly. Science, technology and knowledge economy are being promoted, becoming the main factors contributing to the improvement of growth quality. The province will strongly develop high-quality human resources.

The fields of education, health, culture and society will be comprehensively developed to make Bac Giang among the top group of the country. The material and spiritual life and living environment of the people will be improved. The province plans to expand cooperation and integrate deeper and deeper into the world, while building a solid defense and security posture.

On that basis, the provincial planning identifies three breakthrough stages: Perfecting mechanisms, fine-tuning policies and promoting administrative reform.

Organizing implementation of the planning as soon as possible

That is the direction of Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong on the implementation of the provincial planning. He requested the Department of Planning and Investment to prepare conditions for holding a meeting on March 1, 2022 to announce the provincial planning and launch the implementation plans.

He noted that the sooner the provincial planning is deployed, the more beneficial it will be. We must not only go ahead of other provinces in completing the planning, but also strive to be ahead in organizing the implementation to promote the effectiveness of the planning, turning it from a vision on paper into a driving force for socio-economic development in order to benefit people and businesses as well as the whole province.
