Driving force for economic growth

Bac Giang marked an important event for socio-economic development of the province in mid-June 2023 that was inauguration of Nhu Nguyet Bridge (phase 2) across Hanoi- Bac Giang expressway in Quang Chau commune, Viet Yen district.

The completion of Nhu Nguyet Bridge demonstrated the dare- to-do spirit of Bac Giang province for common interests. The province proposed the Central spending the local budget to implement this construction project instead of central budget.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh expressed his delight when the project was brought into operation to eliminate the bottleneck and boost regional linkage. 

PM highly appreciated the determination and the spirit of dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility for the common interests of Bac Giang province, thereby proposing to implement the project and remove difficulties and obstacles.

A sudden situation of power shortage occurred in the north in June 2023 which greatly affected production activities. Facing that context, the provincial People’s Committee organised an urgent meeting with businesses, departments, agencies and electricity company to seek solution.

After the meeting, the provincial People’s Committee made a creative decision to help businesses to overcome the power shortage that the province prioritized power supply for production in the daytime meanwhile prioritizing power supply for households in the nighttime. 

This solution helped enterprises to proactively schedule their production and meet the partners’ orders. Many foreign investors highly evaluated the responsibility of the public officials and competent agencies of Bac Giang province.

Wide spreading of the “dare to do” spirit

So far, the dare-to-do spirit for common interests has spread to numerous cadres and party members especially heads of the all-level party committee, departments, agencies, localities and units.

The dare to do spirit for common interests of the cadres and party members especially heads of the agencies is significant to help the province top the nation in economic growth.

In order to maintain the economic growth momentum in 2024, one of the solutions adopted by the province is to overcome revelation of fearing responsibility causing not dare to do anything. 

Besides, the province will continue decentralizing and assigning tasks to every agency, unit and individual to implement task right from the beginning of the New Year while surmounting the limitations and shortcomings. 

The levels and sectors will continue to grasp thoroughly and well implement the guideline “3 dares”, “3 mores” and “5 clears” according to the Directive No 26 of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee to remedy ducking responsibility and improve quality and efficiency in implementing tasks.

In addition, the province will focus on reviewing to find shortcomings and amend related legal regulations to make them more clear, transparent and synchronous to create a legal framework for protecting public officials and encouraging them to encounter challenges.

Besides, it will adjust and clarify functions, duties, rights and responsibilities of each administrative agency in the locality ensuring the principle that one task is just taken in charged by one agency avoiding overlapped and undefined tasks.

The province will continue to specify and customize power and responsibility of each group and individual in every step of the work procedures to prevent ducking responsibility and ensure the tasks under their jurisdiction to be handled in quick and timely manner to reduce the implementation time.

Bac Giang reduces time, increases efficiency in handling administrative procedures

BAC GIANG - The provincial Public Administration Service Center, which directly contacts with and handles administrative procedures for organizations and citizens, has proposed and coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to reduce processing time for procedures with complex documents.
