New features in key industrial area

Samkwang Vina Co., Ltd. (based in the Quang Chau Industrial Park) is a wholly Korean-owned enterprise which specializes in manufacturing and processing all kinds of mobile phone, Ipad and notepad covers, battery charger, spare battery holder, and other electrical and electronic equipment. This enterprise is considered to have a record speed of construction, preparation and production.
After only five months of implementation, in mid-2018, the company had its first product and became one of the leading suppliers for Samsung Electronics Group. Currently, it uses nearly 2,000 workers and is preparing for investing in the second phase.

Not only developing IPs, Viet Yen district has also paid attention to zoning off and calling investment for industrial clusters which contribute to promoting local industries and play the role as auxiliary producers.
According to Vuong Huy Hoang, Director of the Minh Hoang Long Company Limited, when being assigned by the district to be the investor of the Viet Tien Industrial Cluster, the company faced many difficulties in compensation, site clearance and completion of related procedures. ... In order to solve these obstacles, the company received positive support from the People's Committees of Viet Yen district and Viet Tien commune.
Expected to be completed by the end of 2019, the cluster has a total investment of more than 130 billion VND (5.58 million USD), ensuring enough conditions for secondary businesses to operate in the most convenient way. At present, five enterprises re-rented premises and initially invested in building factories, embarking on production in line with their commitments.
Le O Pich, Secretary of the district Party Committee and Chairman of the district People's Committee, said that with many advantages in geographical location, infrastructure and transportation system, Viet Yen is planned to develop key economic sectors such as industry, transit services, general commercial services; training; agricultural and forestry production; leisure tourism in combination with spiritual culture.
At the same time, it will act as an important intermediary area linking the socio-economic development center of Bac Giang with Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen and Hanoi.
As for industrial development, by 2035, the district has industrial parks like Quang Chau, Van Trung, Dinh Tram, Vinasolar (Vietnam-Republic of Korea) and Tien Son (expected to be established on about 200ha in Tien Son commune); Hoang Mai and Viet Tien industrial clusters; and Van Ha and Tang Tien craft villages.

In order to achieve the industrial and service development goals, striving to become a sustainably developing industrial district of the province, Viet Yen will continue to promote its advantages from the transportation system including Bac Giang-Hanoi Expressway, National Highway 37, Ring Road IV, North-South railway and waterways...
Viet Yen will focus more on compensation and site clearance, and do well the popularization work to create consensus among the people, while preparing necessary conditions for people to relocate and solving problems of housing land allocation for service business.
“We will continue to thoroughly implement administrative procedure reforms; improve the operation quality of the apparatus and the contingent of cadres and civil servants; and take the satisfaction of people and businesses about the settlement of administrative procedures as a measure to evaluate staff, considering it a factor to increase competitiveness and attract investment in industrial development in addition to the existing strengths,” said Le O Pich.
