PPC Chairman of Bac Giang province urges to ensure conditions for export of lychee to the US
The output of fresh lychee in Luc Ngan district this year is expected at about 95,500 tonnes including 21,000 tonnes of early ripen lychee and the rest sum is main crop lychee.

This time, farmers are harvesting early ripen lychee, of which more than 2,200 tonnes have been consumed as of June 6, mainly in Southern market, supermarket and retail systems in Hanoi, some northern provinces and cities and exported to China and Cambodia.
On this occasion, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong and the working delegation visited Toan Cau Food Import and Export Joint Stock Company, Thien Hai Long Company Limited, the lychee garden for export in Cau Dat village, Phuong Son commune, Dong Bac Company in Kep street and the high-tech lychee drying facility of Vi Thanh Luan’s family in Hong Giang commune.
Le Anh Duong highly evaluated great efforts of the firms, households and local government in production, processing and consumption of lychee in the context of highly increased material and labour costs.

He encouraged the firms, production facilities and households to surmount difficulties and seek optimum solutions to reduce costs in production, purchasing, processing and consumption of lychee.
In coming time, the province will send 2 task forces supporting export of Bac Giang’s lychee to the border gates in Lao Cai and Lang Son province to facilitate custom clearance of vehicles at the peak time of harvesting main crop lychee.
On the same day, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong had a working session with Emission Resource Group INC, USA (ERG) headed by Scott Anh Duong, CEO of ERG and the company’s partners including Aladin Corporation, Golden Lotus Group, Tuan Son Investment Company, Logistics Vietnam Company (under Vietnam Post Log) and Vietnam Post Logistics Company.

The participants discussed implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by ERG and the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province in May 2022. Of which, the sides will focus on boosting cooperation in processing and exporting lychee to the US market and environmental treatment in Bac Giang.
PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong expected the companies to continue accompanying Bac Giang province. He assigned the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to support the companies who want to invest in food processing and building logistic center in Bac Giang.
Regarding construction of a waste treatment plant, the province will organize a working delegation to the US to visit the plants built and run by ERG. If the waste treatment plant is built successfully in Bac Giang city, it is aimed to build an inter-urban and inter-city waste treatment plant for long term operation.
