At the event, the doctors and nurses at the Medical Center in Son Dong district examined the health condition, popularised the knowledge to prevent and cure the common diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, dyslipidemia and eye diseases to 1,000 poor people, policy beneficiaries, disabled persons, victims of Agent Orange and single older persons in the communes of An Lac and Huu San.

The locals in An Lac commune get free health examination and consultation.

Besides, the locals were instructed several methods of suitable practice and lifestyle toward health protection. Each person was presented a set of medicine.

The programme totally costed over 120 million VND (over 5,100 USD) donated by the Kind-Heart Foundation.

On the occasion, the provincial Red Cross Society called for the Kind-Heart Foundation to sponsor the whole expense of 360 million VND (over 15,500 USD) to organize free medical checkups and medicine supply to 3,000 poor people and policy beneficiaries.

Apart from Son Dong district, the next programme will be scheduled in the communes of Cam Son and Tan Son (Luc Ngan district), Dong Son and Dong Huu (Yen The district).
