Bac Giang ranks third at 2025 National and Youth Go Championship
BAC GIANG - The 2025 National and Youth Go Championships took place from April 2-8 at De Nhat Hotel in Tan Binh District (Ho Chi Minh City). The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.
The tournament attracted 140 athletes from many provinces, cities and clubs across the country such as Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Bac Giang and Hoa Phuong Do Club (Hai Phong) among others.

The players competed in 3 events of blitz chess, rapid chess and standard chess for men and women in the age groups U11, U16, U20 and the championship event (no age division).
Bac Giang delegation had 25 athletes participating in all competitions. Thanks to careful preparation and a strong competitive manner, the athletes achieved excellent results with 37 medals of all kinds, including 4 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals, 24 Bronze Medals; exceeding the set target by 1 Gold Medal and 2 Silver Medals.
The gold winners were Nguyen Manh Linh in the rapid chess championship; Nguyen Tran Hai Dang won 3 Gold Medals in all 3 events of the U11 age group (rapid chess, blitz chess, standard chess).
With this achievement, the Bac Giang delegation ranked third overall, after Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
The tournament was an opportunity for localities to affirm their position and evaluate the training and coaching of Go athletes nationwide; thereby, further promoting the development of Go and improving the competition skills of athletes.

BAC GIANG - After 8 days of exciting competition in Dien Bien province, the 2025 National Pole Push Championship organized by the Sports Authority of Vietnam and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province wrapped up on March 15. The Bac Giang delegation won second overall ranking.

BAC GIANG - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on February 12 coordinated with units and localities in Bac Giang province to organize the Open Cycling Race themed "Journey in the Footsteps of the King Monk Tran Nhan Tong" (the Race) at the provincial Gymnasium in the Southern Urban area in Dinh Ke ward of Bac Giang city.

Bac Giang star runner Nguyen Thi Oanh won and set a new record at the Vietnam International Half Marathon 2025 powered by Herbalife on January 1 in the capital city of Hanoi.
