Bac Giang’s female athlete win Gold Medal at the 2025 Sanda World Cup
BAC GIANG - Female athlete Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 2004), from Ngoc Son commune of Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province) has just won the wushu Gold Medal at women's 48 kg weight class at the 10th Sanda World Cup, 2025.
The 2025 Sanda World Cup, organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), took place in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province (China) from April 5 to 10 with the participation from nearly 200 athletes, coaches and officials from 26 countries and regions.

Participating in this tournament in the Vietnamese Wushu team, Nguyen Thi Lan showed great performance and won convincing victories. Notably, in the final of the women's 48 kg category, Nguyen Thi Lan defeated her opponent Chhavi Chhavi (India) and won the Gold Medal for Vietnamese Wushu.
According to the regulations, only athletes who have won medals at the World Championships held in the US in 2023 are allowed to participate in the Cup tournament in China.

Therefore, the level of competition was fierce, requiring high concentration during the competition, Lan said.
Before winning the prestigious Gold Medal, Nguyen Thi Lan had achieved many outstanding achievements, including Gold Medal at the 2019 Asian Youth Wushu Championship in Brunei; Gold Medal at the 2023 World Championship in the US; Gold Medal at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games - SEA Games, 2023 in Cambodia...
